Bit of a drought

So, been a while. My only excuse is that I have been busy. Mark and I are finally in our new place. It feels great to be getting settled in and comfortable. We are still working out some bumps etc. but I think that everything is going to be great.

My dad had surgery this week. He had his knee replaced and I have spent a piece of each day in the hospital with him making sure that he had what he needed and that he was okay.

Both Mark and I have been playing pass the flu. I feel that we have switched off for the last month. I hate being sick! I feel like I can't get anything done. Kari is going to fire me from Young Women's if I don't get my act together. My words, not her's.

So that is my life right now. Centered around family, church, and work. As usual. Man, my update is boring! If only there was something interesting to say! Oh well. Maybe next post!

Yes, you're fired! Just kdding. We don't usually choose to get sick. Just get better and we will see you soon. I am trying to ward off a lingering cold that I thought got better but is now back a little.

You have still being doing what you need to for YW so thank you for that! and for all that you do.

there are some pretty virulent bugs going around these days. I've had one for a couple of months myself. Glad to hear you're still around though:) Also glad to hear you're moved in and settled. Give my love to your dad.

When one of the profs here got his hip replaced this fall I found this website that seeeeemed to be aimed at kids in its presentation (ie. cartoons), but it went through the procedure and you had to do it on a virtual patient. It was crazy! Anyway, the point is they also had knee replacement on there and that stuff is intense!
I hope your Dad is feeling better!

Miss Jess,
I heard of something that you might want to blog about. It is pretty big news and it involves you and Mark. I am surprised that I haven't read about it yet but I am so elated for you and can't wait to see you and give a great, big HUG!
