Hello All!
After a particularly depressing doctor's visit today, I am in need of some advice. My weight has gone down again and my blood pressure is way up. Can anyone offer some advice at how to get me to relax without exerting too much effort, as I am officially banned from strenuous activity. I want to get my blood pressure back down so that I can continue this pregnancy without worrying. Thankfully, it is not so high as to worry about preclampsia or anything, it is just way higher than it has been during the rest of the pregnancy.
Advice is welcome.

Stop working! I will stop working and we can have fun so it will keep your mind off things. Don't worry about your trip, you will be fine. Move your legs as you travel and take pit stops whenever you need to.
I'm sorry you had a bad Dr. visit.
I don't really have any advice, maybe keep your feet up and relax whenever you can...it's okay to say "no" when asked to do things. I'm sorry you have to go through this...I hope you get feeling better asap!!
I agree with above, stop working you crazy woman! maybe if your job was sitting down the entire time! but its not so stop! and honestly i want you to for your health, because i love you as a hair dresser and dont want you to stop, but you need to! and alkso certain foods can help, look it up on the internet i am not 100% sure what they are so i dont want to tell you andit not work
My blood pressure went up and down alot during this last pregnancy.... one week it'd be high and the next not at all. Also, sometimes it made a difference if they took it again at the end of my appt. I guess maybe I was more relaxed by the end of the visit?! Good luck!
STOP WORKING! I can't imagine standing and cutting people's hair while pregnant. At least slow down. Take care of yourself Jess!
i hope this levels itself out.
... but reading is relaxing for me, and i know you love to do that, so do it ... more! just do things that you love. and yes, say no when you need to.
good luck!
work less.
relax more.
1. Stop working so much! I know you and your industrious ways.
2. Don't read anything on the internet! It will only worry you more!
3. Having read a surprising amount of pregnancy blogs in my time (they didn't start out that way! Honest!), losing weight sometimes happens and sometimes it depends on the trimester. I dunno, I don't know anything about babies.
